This class will identify Lithium-ion battery and energy storage hazards, breaking down the different types and construction, thermal-runaway and what makes the battery hazard unique compared to more traditional hazards.
Class Includes:
Battery applications and how the applications affect the hazard.
Most current code requirements will be presented for each battery application.
- NFPA requirements,
- ICC requirements,
- FM Global Requirements.
Fire Protection gaps that have been identified in the ICC ADHOC battery committee will be discussed.
