Using the Michigan Building Code (MBC) and its referenced 2019 edition of NFPA 20, Standard for the Installation of Stationary Pumps for Fire Protection, this one-day program guides participants through the fundamental operating principles of fire pumps, the code requirements for each component within a fire pump assembly, and the acceptance testing procedures needed to verify proper system performance. Attendees will integrate classroom instruction with practical, hands-on exercises that demonstrate how to conduct and evaluate fire pump acceptance tests at one of the nation’s premier fire pump training facilities.
