The newest edition of NFPA 13 makes some of the greatest changes to the document since the 1970’s. Review the latest changes to the 2022 edition, released in the Fall of 2021, with updates that are important to the fire sprinkler contractor and layout technician. NFPA 13 Chapters 19-28 and 3-5 relate to sprinkler discharge rules, such as water supplies, storage applications, discharge density, calculations, system plans, and more for fire sprinkler systems.   

Learning Outcomes: By the end of the program, the participant will be able to:  

1. Understand the NFPA 13 technical committee structure and how industry participation influences changes. 
    
2. Identify the discharge changes in the new 2022 NFPA 13.   

3. Identify and compare changes to the 2019 edition of NFPA 13. 

4. Analyze the impact of an updated standard.
